Homebuyer Assistance Program Offered in Texas

Texas Rocks! I have learned this morning that the Texas Housing Trust Fund is offering up to $10,000 for Down Payment Assistance through their Homebuyer Assistance Program.

Yes, that’s right. This wonderful program provides all eligible borrowers with down payment, gap financing, and closing cost assistance for the purchase of a single family home that must be used as a primary residence. This program will serve first time homebuyers and veterans whose annual income does not exceed 80% of the Area Median Family Income,

This income requirement is waived for Veterans, but all other First Time Home Buyers, they must not exceed 80% of the Area Median Family Income(AMFI). Single Family homes, Townhomes, and Condominiums are all eligible properties under the HomeBuyer Assistance Program.

Borrowers may use an FHA, VA, USDA/RD/RHS, Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac Loans to purchase any property. Loans can be financed for 5 -10 years with 0% interest rate.
