Stage 2 Water Conservation in Murphy That sign is becoming a common site in the area. Many communities have implemented some sort of water conservation in light of the ongoing drought that has been plaguing Texas over the summer months. According to the local weathermen rain is not in our forecast over the upcoming week either. The City of Murphy implemented its Stage 2 Water Conservation on Monday, August 15th. They have said that they would allow for a ten day grace period to allow all residents amble time to learn of the restrictions before ticketing offenders. In addition to the signs telling of drought conditions the message has been in the paper and communicated through HOAs plus a city-wide mail distribution was done to insure every resident was aware of the circumstances. For the home owner, the water schedule applies to all. There is to be no watering of any kind during the hours of 10 am through 6 pm. Homes whose address ends with an odd number can water on Mondays and Thursdays only. Homes with an address that ends with an even number can water on Wednesdays and Saturdays only. Please be sure to do your part and abide by the Stage 2 Water Conservation schedule.
