Today marks an event so tragic in America's history that most of us would rather not have endured. When I first learned of the news it seemed unreal as though something like this should never happen in America. We were vulnerable and the terrorists had hearts filled with hate set on the intent to kill and destroy innocent men, women and not all American.
As we look back on the tragic events of 9/11 in the year of 2001 may we also look forward to the grace of God who has blessed this country with mighty men of valor. Our hearts and our prayers go out to all the families and victims who suffered the great sacrifice of a loved one on that day.
God bless America, Land that I love.
I was at home.. my husband called me and told me to turn the television on. It was devastating... and I was horrified.
ReplyDeleteThen, the phone rang and it was an automated call from Sydney's elementary school. They said to pick her up, so I drove there and she was nowhere to be found. Finally, I found her at a friend's house. The mother had taken her home with her daughter.
Sydney was afraid to go to school...
